What's there to say about being a fan, even a Firefly fan, even a reluctant fan or a not-insane-shipper--not that I ship, and hey, maybe that's my problem--that hasn't been said before by people far more devoted to fandom and rational thought than me?

Well, I'm sure someday I'll think of it, but heck, people, I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with recs and writing my own fic to play fandom politics, if there are even such things in such a small fandom.

The only thing I might have to say someday about fandom is something I'll have to say with my real name. I write profic, too, you see, and when I'm some day actually known for writing said profic, I plan to come out with my big endorsement of fic. Honestly, I can't imagine anything more flattering than having someone write fic about your characters, or world, or whatever. Someone cared enough about what you did, someone loved your creation enough to want to adopt and adapt it to their own ends... I'm sad that I'm still years of work and luck away from getting such a fan base, and I'm sadder still that I'll never really be able to read any fic set in my worlds until I've told all my stories in them, and maybe not even then, just in case.

But like I said, I can't say that yet.

I'll let you know when I can.
